On 26 September, the Church of Saints Borys and Hlib opened in Kyiv’s Varshavskyi residential neighbourhood. The project was initiated and supported by the Molchanov family.
Construction began with the laying of the foundation in 2021 and continued despite the full-scale war. The opening marked a special occasion for the family – the 80th birthday of Borys Romaniuk, grandfather of Ivan Molchanov, founder of 2112 Holding.
A community space is taking shape around the church. A park has already been laid out nearby and a Sunday school is under construction with plans to host children’s classes, educational activities and charitable events. A public drinking-water well is also planned for the site.
The project brings together family values and care for the local community. Alongside the church, a place for gathering, learning and mutual support is developing, becoming part of everyday life in Varshavskyi.
