On 15 November, the Lavra Art Gallery in Kyiv unveiled a major exhibition of works by Anatolii Kushch — one of the most influential contemporary Ukrainian sculptors. The event brought together more than two hundred of the artist’s pieces, many of which were presented to the public for the first time. This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience, in a single space, works that have shaped the visual identity of Ukrainian cities and become recognisable far beyond the country’s borders.

The opening was attended by prominent cultural leaders and representatives of European diplomatic missions — long-standing partners who continue to support Ukraine in its fight for freedom.

Anatolii Kushch is widely known for his iconic projects: the Independence Monument on Maidan, the “Founders of Kyiv” composition, and the sculpture of Archangel Michael — landmarks that have become integral symbols of the capital. His artistic career spans decades and has earned international recognition, Kushch’s works are exhibited in many countries.

2112 Holding co-financed the exhibition in Kyiv, supporting its organisation and opening. For the holding, investing in cultural initiatives is a strategic priority aimed at preserving Ukrainian heritage and amplifying the presence of Ukrainian art on the global stage.

2112 Holding consistently contributes to initiatives that strengthen cultural development and support artists representing Ukraine worldwide. Investing in culture is an investment in the country’s identity and future.
